OSP General Laborer

Position Description:

The OSP General Laborer will be responsible for performing general maintenance of facilities and grounds. The OSP General Laborer will perform periodic quality checks on equipment to ensure equipment is operating as expected. This position requires the ability to complete work daily on an individual basis and to participate as a member of a team.

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform routine maintenance checks on generators, batteries, and AC units.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on cyan filters.
• Maintain existing facilities as required.
• Meet with contractors to grant access to facilities.
• Applying pesticides to prevent and control weed growth
• Monitor contractor excavation around existing facilities as required.
• Assist and perform other duties on job sites as needed.

Qualifications:

• First consideration will be given to an individual who has successfully held the position of OSP Technician or who possesses the equivalent experience (i.e., other telecommunications company/experience).
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record, required

Position Specifics:

• Hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
• On Call and Overtime may be scheduled as needed.
• This work requires frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of moderate objects throughout the workday and, in limited cases, heavy objects.
